Meet Our Veterinary Staff
Kellie has been working with companion animals for over 10 years. She believes that pets are very important family members, which is why she loves assisting the doctors as they treat our patients. Kellie graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2013 with her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Animal Science minor. She also has her certificate in companion animal nutrition. Kellie loves spending time with her Labrador Retriever, Ely Blue and her two cats, Jack and Mijo.
Terri, our receptionist, has been working in the animal care field since the age of 14. She truly loves all of our clients, and will greet every person with a smile. In her spare time, Terri enjoys photography and displays her work at local craft shows. She is the proud owner of an 11 year old whippet mix, Banjo and a rambunctious, young pup named Crosby.
Shaunda has been a part of our team since 2013. She started volunteering at local shelters and walking the neighborhood dogs while growing up. She is currently enrolled at College of Dupage and pursuing an Associate’s degree in Science. She is planning to attend Joliet Junior College and enroll in the Veterinary Technician program. Shaunda loves spending time with her husband and son. They have two dogs named Kane and Bishop and an adorable cat named Boots.
Hannah is another new member of our team at Boughton Square. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute at Fox College in May of 2016 and has been enjoying her time working ever since. She loves all animals, but has a special interest in wildlife. She volunteers one day a week at Willowbrook Wildlife Center. She looks forward to meeting new clients and their pets, but her dog, Clay, has stolen her heart. He is a 3 year-old, shepherd mix that she spoils with endless cuddles and walks daily.
Teacher by day, veterinary assistant by night, Melana loves animals and has found a perfect balance of working with both children and pets. She has one of the kindest spirits you will ever meet and shares her joy with all of the clients and patients she sees. Melana has many dogs, as she says, you can never have “too many.” She is the proud mother of 5 children and grandmother to 4 adorable grandchildren.
